YMCA swim lessons emphasize water safety, skill, and stroke development. Lessons are offered year-round for all skill levels. Beginning swimmers are introduced to basic stroke movement and learn how to be more comfortable in the water. More advanced swimmers are instructed in stroke technique, endurance and safety skills.

Parent and Child Lessons

The YMCA offers swim lessons for babies and toddlers ages 6 - 36 months and their parents. This water introduction program helps the parent and the child get used to the water and see the pool as fun. Parents and children play games that introduce basic introductory water skills such as blowing bubbles, breath control, kicking, and floating.
